What a stunning Yorkshire wedding this was to photograph. It was the perfect wedding day from getting ready at Hornington Manor, to a beautiful church wedding and back to Hornington Manor for a wonderful wedding reception. You will find a selection of some of favourite images from Vanessa and Tom’s autumnal Yorkshire wedding below. It was our first wedding at Hornington Manor and as a Yorkshire Wedding Photographer, we can safely say it’s one of the best Yorkshire wedding venues available!

Vanessa and Tom’s stunning autumn wedding was our first ever Hornington Manor wedding. But we are now proud to call ourselves a Hornington Manor wedding photographer! In fact, as we write this blog we are looking forward to going back to Hornington Manor the following day to photograph another beautiful wedding.
Hornington Manor is one of the most wonderful Yorkshire wedding venues we have ever visited. Owned by a lovely family (who also run a very successful UK wide lambs wool business), the venue has such an intimate feel to it, despite offers so much space for couples and their guests to enjoy. At Vanessa and Tom’s wedding, the day started in the farmhouse at Hornington Manor. The main house offers beautiful accommodation for wedding guests and a wonderfully light bridal prep room. It was a busy morning, with children playing and everyone getting excited for the day ahead. Vanessa stayed calm throughout though and the morning raced by. From experience we find that time seems to speed up as couples get ready for their wedding day!
Before we knew it, it was time for Vanessa to put on her beautiful wedding dress. Vanessa and Tom had chosen a two photographer package with us. This meant we were also able to photograph Tom and his groomsmen as they got ready. After the suits were on, it was onto a pub conveniently placed 50 yards from the church!
The ceremony itself was so lovely and a real pleasure to photograph, capped off with a beautiful first kiss. The funniest moment came when it was time for Vanessa and Tom to make their way back out of the church – the page boy misunderstood what was happening and as pictured above, took centre stage, walking out first with a huge grin on his face!
It was a chilly autumn day however canapés and drinks warmed everyone up back at Hornington Manor as the wedding reception got going. While their guests enjoyed themselves, Vanessa and Tom went for a quick romantic walk around the beautiful grounds of Hornington Manor. This was the first of two opportunities we had to photograph them away from the crowd enjoying quiet time together as luckily, later on, we were treated to an amazing sunset!
The day went onto dinner and speeches from here on in. Thanks to Vanessa and Tom for keeping us fed and watered! Their award winning caterers F4D very kindly provided a full three course meal for us – the selection of pies for a main course was the perfect warming dinner on November day. Thanks again to Vanessa, Tom and F4D for their generosity. The amazing food and coffee certainly kept us going (copious amounts of good coffee is a must for us every wedding day!)
After some very funny speeches, it was onto Vanessa and Tom’s first dance. We stayed for a few songs afterwards to capture some shots of guests having fun on the dancefloor and then our day was done! Twelve or so hours we absolutely loved working. We really do love our job and it’s plain to see why from the moments we captured above: a lovely couple having the best day ever with all their lovely guests. We’d happily do it all again tomorrow – and in a way, we are! As we’re back at Hornington Manor again and we really cannot wait. However, an element we really love about our job is that no two weddings are ever the same. So though we will return to Hornington Manor time and time again over the years, we know every wedding there will be completely different. The only thing that will be the same is that we will get to return to a stunning Yorkshire wedding venue for every wedding we photograph there.
