Yorkshire Wedding Photographer: a beautiful East Yorkshire Barns Wedding

February 27, 2020

What an amazing day we spent with Sarah and Aidan at their stunning Yorkshire wedding venue The East Yorkshire Barns. Previously called The Barns At Flaxfleet, The East Yorkshire Barns has quickly become one of our favourite Yorkshire Wedding Venues. As a Yorkshire Wedding Photographer, we have been to our fair share of local wedding venues but we have to say East Yorkshire Barns is one of the very best. We absolutely love everything about this amazing venue. You’ll find our favourite images from Sarah and Aidan’s wedding beautiful wedding day below.

We absolutely love our job and we loved photographing this beautiful wedding. Sarah and Aidan chose our two photographer package, meaning we started the day off photographing both Sarah and Aidan getting ready at separate locations. Aidan and his groomsmen were at home (with his and Sarah’s amazing jumping dog Luna!) while Sarah and her bridesmaids were at her mum and dad’s house. The morning raced by (as wedding mornings often do!) but this didn’t stop everything being relaxed and fun, the way weddings should be!

Then it was onto the East Yorkshire Barns for a stunning and very romantic barn wedding ceremony. The ceremony barn really is wonderful. In fact, the whole venue is! Sarah and Aidan dressed the venue with beautiful flowers and so many home made decorations. We love weddings where the couples include many personal touches and this was definitely true for this amazing Yorkshire wedding. Aidan hand carved all of the wooden table pieces and they looked perfect.

After a lovely ceremony, it was into the picturesque gardens for drinks and canap├ęs. As our photographs show, there were so many smiley and laughing faces on display all day long – as well as some happy tears as well! After the cocktail hour, we went for a walk with Sarah and Aidan to a nearby field to take some relaxed and natural couple shots. We don’t take portraits and we don’t pose our couples. If we photograph your wedding day, we just let you relax and be yourself. We are known for capturing beautiful and natural moments and have won many awards for our documentary wedding photography style.

After the couple shoot, we all went over to the second, equally beautiful barn within the venue grounds, for some very funny and very emotional wedding speeches, including a bridesmaid delivering a Fresh Prince Of Belle Air influenced rap! Then Sarah and Aidan’s own speeches didn’t leave a dry eye in the house.

We then finished the day with a beautiful first dance from our happy couple before all their guests joined them on the dance floor. We loved getting to know Sarah and Aidan before and during their wedding day and we are so pleased they loved all their photographs – in fact, they did so much they recommended us to their friends who are also getting married at The East Yorkshire Barns. We now cannot wait to photograph their wedding at this perfect Yorkshire wedding venue.

These are such stunning photos. I love the fact that everyone seems so natural!

Looking around for a wedding photographer in Yorkshire for our wedding post covid lockdown, perhaps something in 2021, maybe late summer or early autumn, and these images stand out a mile compares to some of the other wedding photographers who cover the area. Perhaps looking for something in the North Yorkshire Moors, perhaps Dolby Forest or Whitby Abbey. Something more rustic perhaps. But we will be in touch anyway. Hope to speak soon. I have put my email on the form. Thanks.

Thanks so much Jason, please do get in touch and we’d love to discuss your wedding plans. Patrick – M and G Wedding Photography
