Our availability changes from day to day – so please do check first! If you book a date without double checking our availability first, we cannot guarantee we will be free – however, this blog is a really good guide and we are trying to keep it up to date.
Now, to all our couples who are reading this: what an incredibly stressful time this must be for you as you face up to potentially postponing your wedding date. We really do hope your wedding goes ahead as planned, but we know many of you will be considering all options right now. Know that we are here to help in any way we can.
Below you will find all the dates I am available for for postponed weddings. Please note, this is changing by the hour. I will be trying to keep this up to date as much as possible, but do check with me via WhatsApp or by phone call before booking in with your venue and other suppliers that our availability is up to date as per below. As soon as you ask us to hold a new date for you, we will pencil it in our diary and make it unavailable to other postponements and new bookings as we are prioritising our current clients over new clients. We hope this is an indication of our commitment to you and your wedding.
A reminder, we are are not charging a penny more to postpone a wedding and book a new date in with you for 2020 / 2021. No new booking fee, no addition to the price you agreed when you booked us (despite our prices going up in February this year). We don’t want to add any stress or worry to this already stressful situation. So, to reassure you – by agreeing a new date with us, you carry over your deposit and only owe us whatever your existing balance is right now – no extras and nothing to be pay other that what you have been expecting to pay. We are supporting a growing number of postponements, meaning that we, plus your other suppliers and of course your venue are getting busier and busier for 2021. We have now added the first three months of 2022 to our availability below as well to add even more flexibility for you. So, with this in mind, please keep an open mind when looking at new dates as it may be that midweek dates will be more readily available for all suppliers and venues. We will do all we can to be flexible and of course, we are not looking to exploit this situation at all, so are not asking for any extra money (as mentioned above) or putting any restrictions on dates.
I cannot speak for every wedding supplier, but from talking to the fellow wedding professionals and venues I know, I can say that the most important thing right now is supporting you at this difficult time. We hope we that by being flexible in terms of dates offered and not charging more, we will not lose a single booking scheduled for this year.
So far, we have not had one single cancellation – we have simply offered all the help and advice we can, our couples have responded to this and we’ve been able to find new dates to suit all our couples who have sadly had to postpone their weddings. We hope that this shows not only how much people want to ensure they work with their suppliers in finding a new day and support small businesses at this time, but because of how much every one of our couples wants us to photograph their wedding. So thank you – it’s a real honour to be picked to be your wedding photographers, so we will be going out of our way to help and support you in every way possible. As you will find, we have a tremendous amount of availability so we know we can find a date to suit every couple.
Also from the experience of talking with so many couples right now who are going through the same thing as you, we know that if you do have to postpone, once you pick a new date and agree it with us and your venue (and hopefully your other suppliers) the worry and uncertainty will lift. Once a new date is set you will be able to look forward to your wedding day again. If that new wedding date is on a different day of the week to originally planned, we don’t think any couples or guests will mind at all. After all, come next year, as one of our brides put it: “everyone is going to be ready for a party!” What’s more every year we photograph so many non-Saturday weddings and we got married ourselves midweek so we know it makes no difference at all to how special a wedding is. Whatever date you pick, your families and friends will be there and we think they will enjoy the day even more as they will recognise what a tough time you have gone through rearranging your wedding. Importantly, we know that venues will have limited peak day availability just as much as us. So if you can’t pick a Saturday, pick from Fridays, Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays – any day of the week! – and you’ll have the very best day of your life. You really will. Together – you, us and the whole wedding industry – we’ll make 2021 a year to remember. We’ll make it a year of celebration.
