We loved photographing this Styled Shoot – or ‘inspiration shoot’ as we prefer to call it! – at the very beautiful East Yorkshire Wedding Venue The Highfield House. Below you will find a selection of our favourite images that we took on this lovely wintery day. We worked with so many fabulous wedding suppliers to create something a little different and unique – a full list of suppliers and thank yous are below. We recently found out that the shoot will feature in County Weddings Magazine – such amazing news!
The Highfield House inspiration shoot idea was all about being bold, daring and different. We are not your ordinary, traditional wedding photographers and we wanted that to shine through in every image – and we wanted the styling of the shoot to reflect this ethos too. Our couples don’t want traditional or boring – so we wanted to the shoot to be contemporary, bold and beautiful.
We would like to thank the following amazing suppliers for working tirelessly on this shoot. We would highly recommend working with each and every one and to any brides or grooms reading this, each one of the suppliers below are so talented. They will without a doubt do a fantastic job for you on your wedding day if you choose to enlist their services.
The Highfield House Yorkshire Venue: this beautiful and unique wedding venue really is like no other. Tucked away in the market town of Driffield in East Yorkshire, it’s a stunning period building. However the owners have done something truly magical with the decor inside. Stunning colours set each room apart from the other, lending a really contemporary feel. We have never seen a wedding venue like it before. We are so pleased to be photographing two weddings here already in 2020 and if you’re getting married at The Highfield and would like us to photograph your day, please get in touch with us here.
The shoot was a real collaborative effort with everyone of the suppliers having input and bringing their own creative flair. Thanks you to the following amazing wedding suppliers for working so hard, being so creative and and being so amazing.
Floral and Lace (floristry),
Belle Bijoux (venue styling),
AG Hair (hair stylist),
Kate Marshall (make up),
Grace Eva Cakes (wedding cake),
Whitehouse Event Crockery (tableware),
Halo and Co (jewellery and accessories),
Rosa Clara ‘Cher’ dress – dress from Deborah Moore Bridal,
Sottero & Midgely ‘Zander’ dress – dress from Deborah Moore Bridal,
Florida Marquees (furniture),
Really Rosie (stationary).
Thanks again to The Highfield House and also to the above wedding suppliers. We are really proud of what we achieved at the shoot and all the suppliers should be too. As a documentary wedding photographer – and the current Wedding Industry Awards Best Wedding Photographers Of The Year for Yorkshire and The North East – we had never thought to take on a styled shoot before. However, though we love documentary wedding photography and would never photograph a wedding in another style, it’s fun to take on challenges and try different things from time to time. That’s what we were going for when we pulled together this shoot – different!
This bridal shoot really did have it all: a black wedding dress, contemporary and colourful bridal bouquet, statement bridal jewellery (we love Halo and Co’s jewellery!), natural bridal make up and stunning bridal hair and vibrant venue styling that really compliments the Highfield House perfectly.
