We absolutely love The Beverley Barn. We have have shot there many times and have lots more weddings booked there over the coming years. We live literally up the road – about 15 minutes away – and it’s great having such a beautiful venue so local to us to work at. An idyllic barn wedding venue nestled in the countryside
A converted barn, run by the fabulous Yasmin Clappison, the Beverley Barn is one of the finest wedding venues for miles around. Situated just outside the market town of Beverley, it’s in an ideal location. Beverley is famed as being often named as one of the most sought after places to live in the UK. It’s easy to see why when you stroll around Beverley. With the historic Minster and cobbled streets, it really is a beautiful place to visit. It’s also the perfect place to get married and ever since the Beverley Barn opened in 2018, Beverley now has its own premier and contemporary wedding venue. We have been the photographer at many Beverley Barn events and it’s such a wonderful location to work at. As you can see from our images on this blog, it’s such an easy place to photograph!
Why we love the Beverley Barn
We love being a Beverley Barn wedding photographer as it is such a unique wedding venue. The barn has been converted to such a high standard and is such a lovely space for a wedding. At once welcoming and homely, it creates a really warm atmosphere. The decor and fittings have all be tastefully selected and installed by Yasmin. So for a wedding photographer who visits many converted barns, it really does stand out as one of the very best of its kind. Here we are enjoying working at the Beverley Barn below!

Once you’ve picked the Beverley Barn as your dream wedding venue, it’s time to pick the perfect suppliers! First of all, you will probably be looking for the perfect wedding photographer. And if you’re looking for the best wedding photographer, you’ll probably have already booked us! The perfect florist, wedding venue stylists and cake maker
We cannot recommend The Beverley Flower Company enough. They are based just a few minutes away from the barn. Such a talented team of florists and they are so lovely too! We can also recommend both Floral and Lace and Bloom and Bridal. Both based just a little further away in Kingston Upon Hull. Both are so incredibly creative. Pick any of these three florists and your bouquet and wedding flowers are sure to look stunning! If you’re looking for a delicious and beautiful wedding cake, we really recommend Grace Eva Cakes, who has a shop in town in Beverley. Grace is so lovely and so amazing at what she does! A little further afield but still so very talented and working right across the region is Where The Ribbon Ends (with one of their amazing wedding cakes pictured below). Lastly, Beverley is blessed with two local wedding stylists in Born Boho and Belle Bijoux. We really couldn’t pick our favourites between these two – they both offer different styles and even sometimes work together at weddings as a fantastic collaborative team.

Choosing the right hair stylist and make up artist for your wedding day is such a big decision. So we suggest you look at Victoria Farr for bridal make up and Amiee Grant or Laura Truscott for your hair stylist. One of the very best Bridal boutiques around
Beverley is so lucky to have the amazing Elizabeth Lucas bridal boutique, owned and run by Sophie Bennett and her family. This modern boutique is situated at North Bar Without. Elizabeth Lucas stock only the most beautiful bridal gowns. They are contemporary and different and really do have to be seen to be believed. So if you pick the Beverley Barn as your wedding venue, we highly recommend you take a trip to Elizabeth Lucas when selecting your perfect wedding dress. We must also mention the fantastic Amore Headwear. They are based in Beverley and have their beautiful wedding accessories in stock at Elizabeth Lucas.
Picking the right caterers for your Beverley Barn wedding
If you’re looking for a talented caterer, we can highly recommend the amazing Smokin Blues. We cannot recommend this BBQ food truck enough! It’s run by a lovely and friendly team and the food, wow! It is always simply delicious. Whenever we’ve photographed a wedding and Smoking Blues have provided the food, every guest has always been happy! We can also highly recommend Annikas Apron. Annika has worked at the Beverley Barn many times and she creates such amazing gourmet food. It really does taste as good as it looks! You can see some of her food below.

The Beverley Barn is conveniently situated within a short drive of the Beverley Westwood. If you’re looking a location to take a drive to on your wedding day for some time together – and some stunning couples photographs – there is nowhere better. The Westwood offers stunning vistas and open horizons perfect for our own style of photography. We love to incorporate the natural landscape into our wedding photography.
