Saltmarshe Hall is located near the East Yorkshire towns of Selby and Howden. It is a stunning wedding venue, set within 17 acres of beautiful grounds. The gardens are perfectly manicured and make Saltmarshe stand out. The grounds are beautiful in every season, making the venue ideal for wedding photography all year round. A Luxury Wedding Location with Wonderful Owners
Built between 1825 and 1828 by Prichett and Watson for Philip Saltmarshe, the hall is steeped in history. The stables were added in 1842, and the land has been owned by only three families over the last 900 years. The current owners, Kate and Roland Whyte, run every wedding day to perfection. We know Kate well from working at Saltmarshe many times, and she is an exceptional venue owner who ensures each wedding is flawless.

The hall itself is stunning inside and out. For your ceremony, you can marry indoors in the Morning Room, a bright and airy space that photographs beautifully. You can also choose an outdoor ceremony under tree cover or within the walled rose gardens. There is an incredible amount of choice for your ceremony and celebrations at Saltmarshe Hall.
A Luxury Hotel with an Outdoor Swimming Pool
Saltmarshe Hall is also a hotel, featuring an outdoor swimming pool that is perfect for a pre- or post-wedding BBQ. The hotel rooms are ideal for you and your guests, particularly for bridal preparations. The recently refurbished bridal suite is bright and spacious, perfect for capturing wedding morning photos. The venue also has a fantastic bar and exceptional food, always beautifully prepared and presented.
Stunning Views Over the River Ouse
The Hall sits alongside the River Ouse, the sixth-longest river in the UK. Guests can stroll through the gardens up to the riverbank, enjoying the views. If you are lucky enough to have a sunset on your wedding day, it is the perfect spot for golden hour photography.
