There is so much variety in both the house and the grounds, which means no two weddings we ever photograph at Saltmarshe Hall ever look the same. Kathryn and Richard had the most beautiful summer outdoor wedding, and we absolutely loved photographing and filming it for them. Their relaxed, joyful day offered so many natural moments to capture, from the laughter during preparations to the heartfelt outdoor ceremony and the fun-filled celebrations afterwards.
A Day Filled with Natural Moments
The morning started with Kathryn and her bridal party getting ready in the beautifully lit rooms at Saltmarshe Hall. The natural light and bright spaces make for the perfect backdrop for our documentary wedding photography style. While Kathryn stayed calm and radiant, the excitement built around her as friends and family helped with finishing touches. Meanwhile, Richard and his groomsmen prepared nearby, full of anticipation for the day ahead. When it was time for Kathryn to step into her stunning dress, there was a very emotional moment with her family. We then moved to the outdoor ceremony space, which perfectly suited the relaxed, informal style of the day. Guests were seated under a clear summer sky, surrounded by the grounds of Saltmarshe Hall, creating a beautiful natural setting for the ceremony. Every glance, every smile, and every tear of joy was captured naturally, without posing or direction.
A Wedding Celebration to Remember
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on the terrace while Kathryn and Richard took a quiet stroll through the gardens. This was our first opportunity for couple shots during golden hour. The light was soft and warm, perfectly complementing the beautiful surroundings of Saltmarshe Hall. Later, the couple returned to the grounds for a few more romantic shots as the sun began to set, giving the day a perfect golden finish.
