This was our first ever wedding at the amazing Cheshire Wedding venue Owen House Wedding Barn. What an absolutely stunning wedding venue! Cheshire is home to some of the finest wedding venues in the whole of the UK. We can now happily add the Owen House Wedding barn to the list of stunning Cheshire wedding venues that we have photographed weddings at. Below you will find a selection of our favourite images from Alec and Gemma’s wedding day.

What a day Alec and Gemma planned! We are so pleased they picked our natural and relaxed approach to photographing weddings to capture their day. From the very beginning, they made us feel so at home at their stunning Cheshire wedding venue. As mentioned, Cheshire has so many amazing wedding venues to choose from. Whenever we get an enquiry from a Cheshire based couple we get a bit excited to see what stunning location they have picked for their wedding day. Owen House Wedding Barn is no different. It is such a special place to hold a wedding in fact!
We love the fact that at Owen House Wedding Barn everything is self contained. Alec and Gemma got married at a beautiful and historic local church, however, you could easily plan the whole day at Owen House, from the preparations through to ceremony, to the speeches, meal and evening reception. Being a UK wedding photographer, we are often asked ‘what if it rains’? Well at the Owen House Wedding Barn, you needn’t worry! The owners have ensured there is a purpose built covered outdoor area that will keep the rain off while still providing a lovely relaxed atmosphere (and crucially for us wedding photographers – beautiful light for photography!)
As a documentary wedding photographer with a natural style we love to photograph relaxed weddings full of smiles, laughter, happy tears and unexpected moments. So Alec and Gemma’s wedding was perfect for us to capture! Add into the mix the stunning surroundings of the Owen House Wedding Barn and the Cheshire Countyside and really, we couldn’t have asked for more. Alec, Gemma and all their wedding guests did not stop laughing all day and neither did we! We would happily photograph more beautiful weddings at the Owen House Wedding Barn each and every week, it really is such a wonderful location to work at.
Our favourite image from the day is below. We really love this image because it captures such a lovely moment. You can’t see the faces of the three flower girls, just Gemma’s reaction. It really tells a story as it’s clear that the flower girls are making Gemma laugh so much. We really love photographing natural and unposed moments like these.
