We are proud to be an East Riddlesden Wedding Photographer. We loved photographing this special day at such a beautiful venue. We photograph at venues all over the UK and abroad and this is just one of many 2019 weddings we have been lucky enough to photograph. But as a Yorkshire Wedding Photographer, we do love to photograph at the best wedding venues in Yorkshire. East Riddlesden Hall is definitely one of those!
East Riddlesden Hall is a beautiful venue we’ve visited several times and with every wedding we photograph there, we’re reminded what a perfect setting it is.
From the atmospheric barn to the lake just outside, to the Hall and its tranquil gardens – it really is such a stunning location for a wedding. So, we know why Sarah and Jon choose it for their wedding day! But, first of all, we travelled to Jon’s family home to capture him and his groomsmen getting ready. We were also present at a local bed and breakfast to photograph and film Sarah and her bridesmaids as they prepared for the big day ahead.
The whole getting ready stage was filled with laughter and funny moments, as our photographs show. Sarah’s dress was absolutely beautiful – vintage in style and perfect for the day. Once ready, Jon headed over to the church before the ceremony, where his mum was the vicar no less! Jon made us laugh all day, none more so than when he broke his handmade sign saying “till death do us part”. It’s moments like this that we love capturing! He took it really well and laughed through it all – then, decided to take the unusual step (for a groom on his wedding day) of climbing up some railings to hang some balloons while in his wedding suit.
Meanwhile, things were a little more peaceful with Sarah! She arrived in style via vintage bus and it was time for the ceremony! The service was as emotional and full of happy tears – then, after some bubbles, Sarah and Jon were greeted by their fur babies! This moment was so lovely and natural and has produced one of our most well loved (and award winning) images, as seen below.
Then, it was onto East Riddlesden Hall! As an East Riddlesden Hall Wedding Photographer, we were well aware of how beautiful the venue was before we arrived. But as we have such a natural style of photography, we let moments happen naturally – we don’t try to recreate them or stage them. So, as every wedding is unique, we knew that Sarah and Jon’s wedding would be like no other we’d photographed as an East Riddlesden Hall Wedding Photographer – and it did not disappoint! Llamas, miniature donkeys and ponies, hilarious speeches and a packaged dance floor. This really was the perfect wedding to photograph as a documentary wedding photographer.

As always, we concentrate on the natural and most beautiful moments of the day – we do take group shots too, but we’d rather show off our favourite natural moments on our website. That’s what people book us to capture after all!
