This was our first Cripps Barn Wedding and what a day it was! We had been looking forward to our trip to the Cotswolds to capture Imogen and George’s beautiful barn wedding. Cripps have so many amazing wedding venues all over the country – we have also shot at The Tithe Barn, Stone Barn, Hazel Gap Barn and we are also booked to shoot at Shustoke Barn very soon. But this was our first trip to the original Cripps Barn. It was more than worth the wait!
We had met Imogen and George on a pre-wedding shoot so we knew just how lovely they are. They are such a kind and funny couple who are so in love and all of this shone through all day long. From the personal vows that left even the experienced registrar choked up with emotion to the time we spent with them as the sun set into a deep blue sky, it was so clear how happy and how in love George and Imogen are.
Our job is such a pleasure as it enables us to share such happy days with so many different couples. This wedding sticks in the memory not for the amazing venue – don’t get us wrong, Cripps Barn IS amazing and we already cannot wait to return again and again to photograph more weddings there! – but because of George and Imogen and all their guests. Everywhere we looked there were smiling faces and funny moments for us to photograph. The rain came down just before the ceremony, but due to the hard work of the guests, everything was dried off and the outside ceremony went ahead as planned.
We were thrilled to hear Imogen and George loved their photos and films and received the following five star review from them: “What amazing photographers and videographers, I cried my eyes out when I received the final pictures and videos of the day. It bought back so many happy memories so that we could relive the day all over again. The natural photography style was perfect for us, we had no idea what photos were taken on the day, we were allowed to enjoy every second and then be so pleasantly surprised by the photos of such candid shots taken of everyone throughout the day. There was plenty of laughter and of course happy tears! Thank you so much for making us feel so relaxed and at ease in front of the camera!”
Here is a selection of our favourite natural moments from this perfect wedding day. As we write this blog, we are getting ready for another Cripps Barn wedding – looking back at Imogen and George’s day makes us so excited for our trip to the Cotswolds and Cripps Barn tomorrow!
